Privacy Mode

Unlike many other HomeKit enabled cameras, the Opto takes privacy a little further, with an exclusive ‘Privacy Mode’ that quickly and easily recesses the camera’s lens inside the body of the camera shell, ensuring the camera can’t see anything. Privacy Mode can be quickly accessed or even used in schedules or automations.

HomeKit Secure Video

With Opto combined With Apple’s HomeKit Secure Video (HSV) option, you get the ability to store and record 10 days of recordings that can be accessed from anywhere and downloaded at any time. All You need is a suitable iCloud account, allowing 1 camera on HSV with a 200GB plan, or up to 5 cameras on a 2TB iCloud plan.

Pan, Tilt & Zoom

Want to see the whole picture? The Opto can pan, tilt and zoom, so every inch of your space is visible a the touch of your fingers. The Opto can rotate a full 350º horizontally, and 117º vertically, with the camera lens giving you a 107º field of vision. The Opto also has a 3.0x zoom functionality via the VOCOlinc app for extra detail.

Mounting Options

If you want to keep the Opto out of reach but still want to ensure all the details are captured, the Opto offers the ability to mount the camera on the underside of a shelf, or on the ceiling, with the VOCOlinc app also allowing you to flip the video feed so everything is still visible regardless.

GET MORE WITH THE VOCOLINC APP

The VOCOlinc app gives you a lot of control of the Opto, including Privacy Mode, the ability to turn Night Vision on or off, a motion event timeline along a very detailed list of all motion events by time & date. In addition, you get full control over the pan, tilt, and zoom functionality. If you see any flicker in your streamed image, (usually due to lighting), you have the option to minimise flicker by setting the Frequency to either 50 or 60Hz, depending on your region.

FULL-SCREEN STREAM AND NIGHT VISION

The VOCOlinc app (as well as other 3rd party HomeKit apps) can view the live stream from your Opto in full-screen mode. The VOCOlinc app has the additional functionality to control the pan, tilt and zoom controls on-screen without obscuring the view, with transparent controls, so you don’t miss the details. With the help of the four built-in Infrared LEDs, the Opto can achieve excellent Night Vision results with details visible up to 19.7ft / 6m away.
